What is Thai Massage?
Thai Massage is an ancient healing practice originating from Thailand. It combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Often referred to as "lazy man’s yoga," Thai Massage involves the therapist guiding the client through a series of stretches while applying pressure along the body’s energy lines and pressure points.
Key Elements of Thai Massage:
Passive Stretching: The practitioner moves the client’s body into various positions, providing deep stretches.
Acupressure: Applying pressure to specific points on the body to release tension and improve energy flow.
Rhythmic Compression: Using hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet to apply rhythmic pressure along the energy lines (Sen lines).
Holistic Approach: It addresses physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances, promoting overall wellness.
What is Assisted Stretch?
Assisted Stretch is a technique where a practitioner helps the client perform stretches they might not achieve on their own. It focuses on enhancing flexibility, improving range of motion, and reducing muscle tension through guided stretching exercises.
Key Elements of Assisted Stretch:
Guided Stretching: The practitioner assists the client in achieving deeper and more effective stretches.
Improved Flexibility: Targeting specific muscle groups to enhance overall flexibility and mobility.
Tension Relief: Reducing muscle tightness and promoting relaxation.
Personalized Approach: Tailoring stretches to the individual needs of the client for maximum benefit.
